AUTOROTOR – the rotary motion, with a know-how of more than 42 years, is a company specializing in the construction of basic machines for various sectors related toindustrial automation, and various tools for industry such as rotary tables, rings, manipulators, conveyor belts and others, which we will have a chance to explore in more detail throughout the article.

Autorotorc is becoming bigger and better known every year: it now boasts a headquarters of more than 8,000 m2, in Vaiano Cremasco, Italy, and a worldwide distribution network.

The Italian company Autorotor has over fifty employees divided into two large, distinct operating units: the first, employed in the production of all components, the second is specialized and dedicated to theassembly and testing of components.

Rotary tables

These are mechanical units with orthogonal axes, in which the continuous rotation imparted to the input shaft is transformed into an intermittent rotation at the output disc. Mainly used on industrial equipment such as:

• Processing islands

Rotating rings

Rotary rings are devices that transform continuous rotary motion at the input into intermittent rotary motion at the output. Basically the evolution of rotary tables, with the difference that the rotating part is not the disc, but the crown. They ensure quiet operation with very high efficiency, under all conditions of industrial use.

Intermittents/ Oscillators

The intermitter uses the same operating principle as the rotary table, but unlike the latter it has output shaft instead of disc and a special prism shape that makes it easier to apply. The oscillator has the same body as the indexer, but is equipped with a special cam device, specifically designed to transform the uniform motion at the input, into an oscillating rotation at the output. Both particularly suitable for very fast movement of equipment with low mass and inertia.

Manipulators

I Autorotor manipulators can be mechanical – cam- or electronic – with a linear motor; they realize linear or angular movements. They have high repeatability, compactness, minimal installed power and minimal maintenance. They make mechanical synchronization to the machine cycle possible, making the use of the whole system easier and more immediate.

Torque board

The torque table is the electronic alternative to mechanical rotary tables. The operating principles are the same as those of linear motors, but unlike them they have an arrangement of elements according to a circular geometry. They are prepared to be industrially controlled by any type of control and combined with all types of drives.

Conveyor belts

Autorotor has developed a new modular conveyor belt suitable for any manufacturing sector-medical, automotive, food, mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic and many others. All conveyor belt components are made by the company, including bearings, guaranteeing 3 years full warranty.

Basic machines

There are 5 sizes of basic machines developed by Atorotor, designed and engineered to meet the wide range of needs of manufacturers of automatic machines and automation sectors. Models BM1-BM2-BM3, use a transmission based on rotary tables; models BMR1-BMR2 use the two new AR350, AR510 Autorotor rotary rings as the rotating system, with the ability to take advantage of the spaces and accesses typical of these applications.
